Jon Harrison clarifies his comments: As Andy discussed yesterday, Harrison said some things that may or may not have been favorable. He's now saying his comments are being misinterpreted. (Edgar Thompson, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)

Looking at the backfield: Based on their expectations, they've got Kelvin Taylor and Mack Brown combining for just over half of the total carries, with the quarterback expecting to get around the same as either one of them. That sounds about right at this point. Pencil me in for Matt Jones getting some, too. I think. (Daniel Thompson, Gator Country)

Marqui Hawkins to transfer: He wants to go play offense. (Zach Abolverdi, The Gainesville Sun)

Nine SEC players in the first round: According to Mel Kiper's latest mock draft, the SEC will see nine players drafted in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft. Will a former Gator be one of them? (Chris Low, SEC Blog/ESPN)

Poor 40 times costing players: Marcus Roberson and Loucheiz Purifoy have poor 40 times on their resume and it's hurting them on the draft boards. Maybe if they ran in a facility that was covered with controlled weather, like every other team does/has, instead of outside in the rain... (Robbie Andreu, The Gainesville Sun)

Softball wins its tenth straight: They smashed USF 17-1 in a game that invoked the mercy rule after five innings. (GatorZone)

Alligator Army Tailgate: So we're going to do the Missouri game, yes?

Blues and Blackhawks - Best NHL Playoff series I've probably experienced in my life. Let's Go Blues!

Jeep wave: Four-door Jeep Wranglers aren't really Jeep Wranglers. You own a Cherokee. Sorry. There's a reason why the style is called a JK.

Bradley Beal slams Chicago-style pizza: And he's right. Chiciago-style pizza (and deep dish in general) does suck.

So in honor of Beal, we're talking the top five national pizza chains:

  • 1) Hungry Howie's: Not. Even. Close.
  • 2) Ledo Pizza: Even though it's primarily in the Maryland and Virginia area, that's enough national for me.
  • 3) Grimaldi's: Since when did Arizona know how to make a pizza?
  • 4) Sbarro: Bonus points for literally saving my life in Las Vegas a few years ago.
  • 5) California Pizza Kitchen: As long as it's not a California-style pizza (with like pineapple or whatever), it's good.

Just missing the list: Hunt Brothers, Godfather's, Stevi B's and CiCi's. CiCi's is only on the list because of their mac n' cheese pizza. Papa John's is the best of the big three or four delivery places and Papa Murphy's is just terrible. Why would I ever want to get a pizza and then have to cook it at home? That's what Red Baron and Tombstone are for.
