Chomping at Bits: Softball wins National Championship, other notes and Seinfeld

Chomping at Bits returns and we're talking softball championships, if it's time for a baseball coaching change, football schedule analysis and the greatest Seinfeld episodes ever.

Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB, or find us on Twitter at @AlligatorArmy or on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlligatorArmy.

Softball wins title after bold coaching move: Head coach Tim Walton talks about starting Lauren Haeger over Hannah Rogers. It paid off, big time. (Chris Harry, GatorZone)

Welcome home the softball team: They'll be arriving home in Gainesville between 5:30-6:30 p.m. ET and will be at Pressly Stadium. Admission is free. (GatorZone)

Time for a baseball coaching change?: With softball on the up and up, is it time to look elsewhere for a head baseball coach? I say no. (Jonathan Czupryn, The Independent Florida Alligator)

Football schedule analysis: Trap game (Vanderbilt), worst timed game (Alabama, week four), biggest game (Georgia), nothing new. We seem to be given this hand every single year. (Jeff Barlis, SEC Blog/ESPN)

SEC Championship odds: The Gators' odds are currently 5-1. (Jon Cooper, Saturday Down South)

Billy Donovan wants offseason growth from Chris Walker: Adding muscle and learning a defensive role appear to be the two biggest issues Walker faces this offseason. (Kevin Brockway, Hoops Scoop/GatorSports)

Florida vs. Florida State: The Gators have a winning record against the Seminoles in every sport except baseball. (Scott Carter, Carter's Corner/GatorZone)

Neighbors: 7 our of 10.

A Million Ways To Die In The West: 7.5 out of 10.

Birthday: Yes, my birthday was Monday. I'm getting old.

Birthday II: But still not old enough to play some golf a couple of times and take a birthday shot of Bacardi 151.

Best Seinfeld episodes: Seinfeld is in my opinion the best television show of all-time. So it seems only fitting that we're doing this.

  • 1) The Hamptons: Perfect.
  • 2) The Fusilli Jerry: Almost perfect.
  • 3) The Contest: Very close.
  • 4) The Yada Yada: Lobster bisque.
  • 5) The Bubble Boy: Moops!

Just missing out: The Shower Head, Serenity Now, The Summer of George, The Soup Nazi, The Marine Biologist, The Package. Also: Any episode where Kramer is Dr. Van Nostrand, George is lying to Susan's parents or has a massive lie in general, Jerry is worried about something being clean or Elaine is dancing.
