Here's my second confession about the World Cup in three weeks: I really don't know if I'm going to be able to watch the entirety of today's game between the United States and Belgium.
It's not about excitement or a lack thereof, or about a fear of Belgium — which, really, is probably either Germany's equal or close, and could be eyeing a wounded American side as a bunch of rested hyenas would a lame beast — or about the relatively ... pacific pastime that is watching soccer.
I'm just running on virtually no sleep, and I can tell that I need a nap.
I believe that we will win, and all that, and I believe that you will find an online stream of USA-Belgium at ESPN3 — the game kicks at 4 p.m., but there's pre-match coverage on now — but I just don't believe I'm going to survive the next few hours of my life without a nap.
And trust me: It's k-i-l-l-i-n-g me that I believe that I will sleep.
