Chomping at Bits: Will Muschamp and company all say the right things

Chomping at Bits takes a look back at the Gators' time in Hoover, Alabama and countdowns the very best of Adam Sandler.

Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB, or find us on Twitter at @AlligatorArmy or on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlligatorArmy.

Will Muschamp says all the right things: He certainly doesn't act like a coach coming off of a disappointing 4-8 season. (Robbie Andreu, The Gainesville Sun)

The players say the same: Well, at least those who went with Muschamp to Hoover did. (Andrew Spivey, GatorCountry)

Jeff Driskel looks to jumpstart offense: The match between Driskel and Kurt Roper is looking pretty good at the moment. We'll see how things play out in the fall when it matters, though. (Jonathan Czupryn, The Independent Florida Alligator)

Dan Mullen likes Gators' offense: Why? Because of speed. He's not wrong. But there is a big difference between the players when he was here and the players now. (Zach Abolverdi, The Gainesville Sun)

Gators will be in SEC East title hunt: At least one national writer thinks the Gators will have a big bounce back year. (Joel Klatt, Fox Sports)

SEC Network announces roll-out: The soccer team and volleyball team will get some appearances on the new channel this season. (GatorZone Volleyball and Soccer)

Steve Spurrier: He's still hilarious.

MLB All-Star Game: I'm still not sure why a popularity contest decides who gets home field advantage in the World Series.

The Purge II: I can't for the life of me figure out why I really want to see this movie.

Speaking of movies, Paul Blart II is on the way: And seeing Adam Sandler's name as a producer reminds me of...

Best Adam Sandler movies: A rather easy list to make, for sure.

  • 1) Happy Gilmore: It doesn't get any better.
  • 2) Grown Ups: How we all wish we are, right?
  • 3) The Waterboy: Absolutely hilarious.
  • 4) Bulletproof: One of the most underrated 1990's movies.
  • 5) The Longest Yard: A very good remake.

Just missing the list: Billy Madison, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Just Go With It, 50 First Dates, Big Daddy and Mr. Deeds.

*And for a special note: I'll be on vacation this weekend, next week and part of the following next weekend. I promise though, that when I get back we'll get down to business with the tailgate, our annual win shares postings, the Kurt Roper challenge and a few other things.
