Florida's 48 for 2014, No. 11: D-Rob

I just really, really like Demarcus Robinson's potential, okay?

USA TODAY Sports

I just want to go on record with this: I am fully, totally, incontrovertibly, truly, honestly sure that Demarcus Robinson is going to have a big year for Florida.

I don't know what dimensions "big" will be for him — I wouldn't be surprised by 600 yards and 10 touchdowns, or by 1,200 yards and four scores, and I wouldn't be surprised by him being Florida's leading receiver or its fifth-leading receiver, really. There's a lot of variance to how he'll be used on a week-to-week basis, and I think Jeff Driskel's likely to be spreading the ball around more often than he's relying on one player to rack up the catches and yards.

But Robinson's the guy who's always open at practice. Robinson's the guy who flashes in every preseason hype video despite those shots being of practice alone. Robinson's the guy who still troubles ace corner (and good friend) Vernon Hargreaves III.

I feel comfortable in saying this, without even poring over Kurt Roper's C.V.: Robinson is the most talented receiver he has been able to feature in an offense since Robert Meachem at Tennessee, or maybe Peerless Price.

At this point, D-Rob is his only enemy. And I don't think he's really in his own way.

That should pave the way for a sensational sophomore campaign.
