SEC Power Poll, Week 5: Florida stays at No. 10 despite loss to Alabama

Despite a record-setting loss, Florida stays where it has been in the SEC Power Poll.

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The fifth week of the SEC Power Poll for 2014 is here, and Florida is where it has been: 10th place.

The Gators got 53 points, exactly a third of No. 1 Alabama's 159. The Tide hold the top spot by one point, sitting ahead of No. 2 Texas A&M and receiving six first-place votes to the Aggies' four. Auburn, which received two first-place votes, is third.

Once again, I didn't get a chance to vote, but I think I would've had Florida ninth (ahead of Arkansas) or 10th.

Here's what voters had to say about Florida:

FLORIDA

Agent Muschamp is on the clock. He'll need to win out to keep his job.--Georgia Sports Blog

I laughed when Jacoby Brissett transferred to NC State. Now he's 4-0 with a 10:1 TD:INT. Florida could probably use that right about now.--Red Cup Rebellion

For three and a half quarters, Will Muschamp looked like he knew what he was doing. Then you took a step back and looked at the stats. This game was never close.--Arkansas Fight

I've gotta start voting so I can write snarky things about Georgia.
