Florida football recruiting: Gators land 2016 WR Rick Wells

Florida's got three commits in the 2016 class a year before it needs to be complete.

Florida got a commitment from 2016 wide receiver Rick Wells of Jacksonville's Raines High School Monday evening, with Wells announcing the pledge on Twitter:

Wells is not currently rated by the 247Sports Composite, but camped at Florida's Friday Night Lights festivities last July, and showed out, per Luke Stampini.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines 2016 wide receiver Rick Wells claimed landing a UF offer after a strong performance at FNL. The 6-foot, 180-pound receiver is very smooth running his routes and shows terrific body control. He is yet another in-state receiver with SEC talent.

On his Hudl highlights, Wells looks to have good — not great — speed, very good body control, and soft hands.

With Wells joining Tyler Byrd and Tre Jackson, Florida now has three commitments for its 2016 recruiting class, with more than a year to go to assemble it ... and nine for its 2015 recruiting class, which should theoretically be complete in nine days.
