After holding serve with a win over Missouri and watching a top-10 team, Florida is knocking on the door of somewhere it hasn't been in a while in the Week 7 USA TODAY Coaches Poll:
The top 10.
Florida moves up from No. 13 to No. 11 in the Week 7 poll, sliding up a spot thanks to then-No. 9 Oklahoma's Saturday loss to Texas. Florida's just the fourth-highest-ranked SEC team in the poll, checking in behind No. 5 LSU, No. 9 Alabama, and No. 10 Texas A&M, but the Gators could make another substantial jump if they tame the Tigers on the road in Baton Rouge this week.
The Gators aren't the lowest-ranked 6-0 team in the coaches poll, believe it or not: Oklahoma State and Iowa also sport 6-0 records, and check in at No. 15 and No. 17.
Florida still has two top-10 opponents left, according to the coaches, with No. 8 Florida State also looming at the end of the regular season.
