Gators show grit, promise in defeat: This Florida team does not quit and showed plenty to be excited about for the future. I love that Jim McElwain greeted each player one by one as they left the field Saturday night to offer words of encouragement. (Scott Carter, GatorZoneRobbie Andreu, Gainesville SunEdgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel)

Florida still in driver's seat for SEC East: After the bye week the Gators will face Georgia in what figures to be a defacto SEC East championship game. (Jesse Simonton, Miami Herald)

Jake McGee "clutch" for Gators: This article was written prior to the LSU game but holds quite true after it as well. I also enjoyed Kelvin Taylor trying to call McGee a security blanket and calling him a "great blanket to sleep on".  I also did not realize that McGee used to play quarterback and safety in high school. (Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel)

DBU has left the building: Brandon Harris had arguably the best game of his career against the Gators. (Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)

Orlando Attorney Clay Townsend, father of Florida punter Johnny Townsend, to work on Will Grier's appeal: Townsend will work cooperatively with UF's counsel on the matter. (Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel)
