Florida vs. Vanderbilt: Gators' Homecoming game set for noon kickoff

Finally, a noon game!

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Florida will play its first noon game of the 2015 season on November 7, when Vanderbilt comes to town for Homecoming, the SEC announced Monday.

The game will air on either ESPN, ESPN2, or the SEC Network, with that determination to be made next week.

After many complaints about early starts in the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Florida has largely avoided noon kickoffs (and the accompanying swelter) in 2014 and 2015. This will be Florida's first noon game of 2015, with every game prior to it kicking off either in the 7 p.m. primetime or on CBS at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.

There could also be plenty at stake when the Commodores come to town: If Florida beats Georgia on Halloween in Jacksonville, the Gators will return home with a chance to clinch the SEC East against Vandy.

Oh, and Florida will be looking to avenge its only loss to Vanderbilt since the Reagan administration, a 34-17 win on Homecoming in 2013.
