Florida's injury report before its crucial clash with Florida State on Saturday got slightly better in a release from Jim McElwain through GatorZone on Wednesday.
Most notable among the updates: Jonathan Bullard and Alex McCalister, both described by McElwain as "probably out" in a Monday press conference, are listed as doubtful.
Probable
- DT Caleb Brantley
- LB Antonio Morrison
- OL David Sharpe
- WR Brandon Powell
Questionable
- OL Cam Dillard
- DT Joey Ivie
- DT Thomas Holley
- OL Martez Ivey
- DL Jordan Sherit
Doubtful
- DL Jon Bullard
- DL Taven Bryan
- DL Alex McCalister
It's also possible that McElwain is engaging in a bit of subterfuge by listing as many Florida players as he has, or by overstating their injuries. Bullard did play significant snaps against Florida Atlantic after suffering the knee injury that has his status in doubt, and a keen-eyed fan (and Publix employee) noted McCalister at a Publix deli counter and tweeted it out Wednesday — notably without the protective boot he's been sporting.

McElwain has repeatedly reiterated that he won't play players who "aren't ready to play," so it would be surprising to see any Florida player on the field against the Seminoles without full medical clearance. But if those players can go, even at some reduced level of performance, I doubt that McElwain would sit them.
