After an unsurprising but not-as-bad-as-it-could-have-been loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game, the Florida Gators once again dropped in the AP Poll, from No. 18 to No. 19, and from No. 15 to No. 18 in the Coaches Poll.
The Gators may have lost the game, but there was plenty to be pleased with as their regular season came to an official close. This team showed resiliency and fight, and that all they need is a solid quarterback to be in the College Football Playoff discussion.
Of course, this year they don't have that quarterback, not since Will Grier was suspended, at least. So for now, the Gators will gear up for a bowl game, and try to use their defense to suffocate their opponent once more.
The Gators were jumped in the AP Poll by the Michigan Wolverines, who went from No. 19 to No. 17. In the Coaches Poll, they were jumped by Oregon (No.14), Ole Miss (No. 15), Houston (No. 16), and Michigan (No. 17).
Elsewhere across the SEC in the AP Poll, Alabama comes in at No. 2, Ole Miss stays put at No. 16 , LSU rises to No. 22. In the Coaches Poll, Alabama sticks at No. 2, Ole Miss moves to No. 15, LSU goes to No. 21, and Georgia re-enters the poll at No. 25 (which means another ranked win for Florida!)
