Florida and Texas A&M will play a basketball game at 6:30 p.m. on the SEC Network in College Station on this Saturday night, and one of those teams will win the game.
I mean, probably. I think that's in the rules.
Florida's lost its last three games — all by seven or fewer points, all after scoring just 61 points — and is almost entirely without NCAA Tournament hopes. But Texas A&M's lost two of its last three after a six-game winning streak in SEC play, and its own bubblicious NCAA Tournament hopes would take a significant hit if Florida is able to upend the Aggies this evening.
Florida did win in College Station in its only trip to the Lone Star State since the Aggies joined the SEC, and easily: Mike Rosario had 19 points and Patric Young had 18 points and seven rebounds in a 68-47 win in 2013. But those two Gators are long gone now, and Florida's still without Michael Frazier II, and the Aggies have the right mix of shooters and scorers — Alex Caruso at point and Danuel House and Jalen Jones at tweener forward spots — to simply outpace the offensively-challenged Gators.
I'll be here. I'll be watching. I'll understand if you don't.
