Florida had a shot at flipping a quarterback from Florida State on National Signing Day for the second straight year. Alas, it seemingly wasn't to be with Deondre Francois.
I'm told QB Deondre Francois signs his LOI with FSU

Francois set the Internet on fire last week with a tweet announcing his decommitment from FSU, but that tweet was swiftly deleted and then loudly discussed and explained away as a "hack." And FSU's cluttered quarterback class got a little lighter on Monday, as Kai Locksley departed the 'Noles to commit to Texas.
There was still faint hope that Francois would choose to spurn FSU, just as Treon Harris did on National Signing Day in 2014, but his signing of a Letter of Intent — though it's possible that he's signed more than one, and his signing won't be official until Florida State confirms it — would seem to preclude that prospect.
With Francois off the board, Florida might try to press Louisville commit Lamar Jackson to join its class, but there's no other quarterback in the Gators' sights.
