Jeffery Holland commits to Auburn over Florida on National Signing Day

No surprise here.

One of the worst-kept secrets in big-time recruiting became public knowledge on Wednesday, as linebacker Jeffery Holland of Jacksonville committed to Auburn over Florida and other schools.

Holland, a consensus four-star prospect, had been a Florida lean in the early stages of his recruitment, but had been trending heavily to Auburn for months and months, and was seen as an Auburn lock by, oh, about the moment after Will Muschamp was announced as the Tigers' defensive coordinator.

Missing on Holland hurts for linebacker-poor Florida, which needs depth at the position going forward, but it was unquestionably an expected miss; this was part of the reason Florida pursued and landed South Florida linebacker Rayshad Jackson in January.
