Florida got the 19th commitment of its 2015 recruiting class midway through Wednesday afternoon when Georgia offensive lineman Nick Buchanan popped for the Gators during a ceremony at his school.
Buchanan, a consensus three-star prospect from Georgia, decommitted from Cal earlier this week, and was reportedly choosing between Florida and Georgia on National Signing Day. In landing him, the Gators nab a 6'4", 280-pound mini-mountain who is likely to be a tackle at the next level, but could move inside, depending on how much weight he puts on.
Moreover, Buchanan is the sixth offensive lineman to join Florida's 2015 class, and the second to do so on National Signing Day, following Martez Ivey's morning commitment to the Gators. And for a program losing an incredible seven offensive linemen from its 2014 roster, that's a massive reload at a position group with significant need.
