Florida football recruiting: Massive OT Stone Forsythe commits to Gators

So many puns. So many.

Could a football player get a first name much better than Stone? I don't know — but I do know that West Orange offensive tackle Stone Forsythe has committed to Florida, as first reported by 247Sports' Luke Stampini.

Forsythe is rated as a consensus three-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, and has three-star ratings from 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals; Scout has yet to rate him. There's a fair bit of disagreement on his weight, which ranges from 300 to 330 pounds on those four major sites, but they all agree that he's at least 6'6".

That frame is a massive one, and it's good to see, via his highlights, that he puts it to good use, engaging and neutralizing defenders with long arms.

Forsythe does appear to play high on tape, which is fixable, and he's almost certainly going to have to adjust to not being the biggest dude on the field.

But, hell: He's an offensive lineman named Stone Forsythe. I'm in.

Forsythe's commitment brings Florida to 10 commits for the 2015 class, good for 17th nationally . Reminders, though: Recruiting is really weird and everything is subject to change.
