Florida's potential playmaker wouldn't take the bait on questions about Will Grier and Treon Harris.

Via ASAP Sports and ESPN, here are select quotes from Florida wide receiver Brandon Powell at SEC Media Days. (Note how often "they" gets used in the quarterbacks answer.)

On offensive approach of first-year head coach Jim McElwain...

"It's different because Coach Mac, he's more of an offensive guy so you get to see him a lot and talk to him a lot. Also, if you're making plays he's the one who has the decision to make who can get the ball."

On adjusting to a passing offense...

"It's all about getting those reps. In the spring you get a lot of reps running routes and catching passes. That's all that will help in the transition from last year to more of a passing offense."

On transitioning from running back to wide receiver...

"The most difficult transition has been learning the route depth. I might drift a bit in certain routes or not run at a certain depth. That's really the biggest transition for me because I've never played receiver before."

On the development of quarterbacks Treon Harris and Will Grier...

"They both work well with the wide receiver group and they are on us. If we drop a ball or run a bad route they both get on to us. They both are taking the leadership and know that this job is up in the air. They're competing against each other but they aren't talking bad about each other. They both are pushing everybody and pushing the receivers to do their job and getting the extra work in. They're both doing a good job."
