Florida's first commitment from the 2015 version of its Friday Nights Lights camp happened before the lights came on. Cornerback Quincy Lenton committed to the Gators early Friday evening, as widely reported, first by Zach Abolverdi of the Gainesville Sun.
Lenton also tweeted out his own good news.

Lenton's commitment seemed like a possibility as early as the late afternoon, thanks to a bit of prognostication from ESPN reporter Derek Tyson.
Think Florida has a good chance of landing #ESPN300 DB Quincy Lenton.

To the Tape
And Lenton, a four-star defensive back from Meridian, Mississippi, has a connection to a member of Florida's staff: He committed to Mississippi State back in November 2014, when Geoff Collins was still the Bulldogs' defensive coordinator.
After Collins's departure for Florida, Lenton decommitted in May — just days after Collins visited him as a member of Jim McElwain's staff.
Lenton's commitment brings Florida to 15 commitments for the 2016 recruiting cycle.
