Mere minutes after Florida snagged the first commitment during its Friday Night Lights recruiting/coaching camp, the Gators nabbed another: 2017 wide receiver Daquon Green pulled the trigger and hit send on a tweet announcing his commitment to Florida.
I am truly blessed to say that i am committed to the University of Florida #GoGators pic.twitter.com/wEN0yAKaao

Green hails from Tampa Bay Tech, the same school that produced Clemson commit Deon Cain in the 2015 recruiting cycle, and that was surely part of why one of the two Crystal Ball picks on his 247Sports profile had him joining Cain with the Tigers.
Instead, the 247Sports Composite four-star wideout, who was also interested in Ohio State and Michigan, is now committed to Florida. And he's an excellent player: At 6'1" and just under 200 pounds, he's got quickness, speed to burn, and strong hands, and shows all of them off in these highlights of his sophomore season.
If Florida can hang on to Green for the nearly 20 months between now and National Signing Day in 2017, it will have landed what looks like one heck of a wideout.
Green's commitment brings Florida to four for the 2017 recruiting cycle.
