Just 20 minutes — from 3:21 a.m. to 3:41 a.m. — passed between the initial tweet and the tweet about the apprehension, so that's excellent response time by campus and/or Gainesville police, but I cannot remember another report of shots being fired on campus. A man and woman were taken into custody after the incident, which apparently involved a fight that spilled from a Midtown bar to the Murphree parking lot and a shot being discharged into the ground, and both suspects are being held in the Alachua County Jail.
Let's hope those witnesses are also found and interrogated soon, and that this was an isolated and harmless incident — but I'd be remiss to note it's not the third in a string of gun-related incidents since Saturday in Gainesville, following a domestic dispute that left one man paralyzed early Saturday morning and a shooting of a police officer that prompted a manhunt and the shutdown of Interstate 75 midday Saturday.
