Florida unable to overcome poor first half performance: Florida only scored 19 points in the first half against Vanderbilt, going 7-for-33 from the floor. The Gators attempted a comeback, and surpassed their first half scoring output in just over 10 minutes in the second half, but ended up falling to the Commodores by one point. (Chris Harry, Florida Gators; Ian Cohen, Independent Florida Alligator; Kevin Brockway, Gainesville Sun)
Tight End recruit Nick Eubanks reschedules visit: Eubanks did not make his scheduled official visit to Florida last weekend due to illness, but has apparently rescheduled his visit for this weekend. (Anthony Chiang, Palm Beach Post)
Gators make push for 5-star defensive end Brian Burns: Burns has a great relationship with Florida defensive line coach Chris Rumph and was hosted by Jordan Scarlett and Quincy Wilson, who are also from Fort Lauderdale, on his official visit to Florida. (Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country)
Antonneous Clayton shuts down recruitment: The nation's no. 2 ranked weakside defensive end announced that he would not be taking any more visits and that he was 100% committed to Florida. (Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country)
I WILL NO LONGER BE TAKING ANYMORE VISITS. I'M 100% COMMITTED 2 THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA # GO GATORS ✊✊

Florida's best 2015 win (and most intriguing 2016 game): I agree with both of these choices (The Ole Miss win for 2015's best and the 2016 trip to Tennessee for most intriguing). Though, I could see an argument for 2015 Tennessee being included as one of the best wins this season. (Edward Aschoff, ESPN)
Softball team No. 1 in both preseason polls: Florida was voted No. 1 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll and in the ESPN.com Poll. It's the second year in a row that the Gators have opened atop the rankings. (Gainesville Sun; Will Pantages, Florida Gators)
Florida gymnasts receive SEC weekly honors: Bridget Sloan was named SEC Gymnast of the Week for the third straight week. Alex McMurtry was named SEC Specialist of the Week. (Lindsey Spatola, Florida Gators)
