Backups embracing opportunity for playing time: The Gators will likely be starting an offensive line full of underclassmen. Tyler Jordan and David Sharpe may be available, but would likely serve as reserves if they were to be. (Jordan McPherson, Miami Herald)

Profiles of T.J. McCoy: McCoy, Florida’s third-string redshirt freshman center, was thrust into action against the Gamecocks last Saturday. McCoy is the son of Tony McCoy, who played for the Gators from 1988 to 1991. McCoy was not offered by Florida out of high school and went to N.C. State, but decided to transfer closer to home due to his father’s leukemia. The elder McCoy was at Saturday’s game to be honored as part of the 1991 SEC Championship team, and got to see his son play in The Swamp. (Scott Carter, Florida Gators; Graham Hall, Gainesville Sun)

Reliving Florida’s loss to the Tigers last year: A couple of big plays, including a fake field goal, helped LSU defeat the Gators. (Ethan Bauer, Independent Florida Alligator; Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel)

The DBU debate is still ongoing: So if you are one of those people who get their hackles up about players having confidence or enjoying a nickname - go ahead and do that, I guess. (Patrick Pinak, Florida Times Union)

Q&A with LSU beat reporter: On Ed Orgeron, Leonard Fournette, Derrius Guice, and LSU’s defense. The Gators are seeking their first win in Tiger Stadium since 2009. (Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel)

Florida recruiting Q&A: On Florida’s chances of landing Tray Bishop, Alex Leatherwood, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and others. (Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country)

Jim McElwain discusses former players playing on scout team: Alabama was in the news for doing this and McElwain was asked about it. McElwain was familiar with Alabama’s returning faces from his time there, and noted that he would probably want to sneak former Gators into The Swamp to play for Florida. (Thomas Goldkamp, 247 Sports)

Sports psychologist helped Gators with free-throw shooting: Florida ranked 323rd in that category last season. (Ryan Young, SEC Country)
