Pulling Fulton, a five-star cornerback and a top-20 prospect, out of Louisiana? That was always going to be difficult for the Gators, who made their best push for nabbing him as he visited campus last weekend. And while Fulton was said to have bonded with Jalen Tabor and been receptive to Florida's pitch of more immediate playing time, the time-honored tradition for big-time Pelican State prospects — Landon Collins and Gerald Willis aside — has been staying within the confines of the Boot and balling for LSU.
Without Fulton, Florida sits at 24 commitments and five defensive backs (counting McArthur Burnett as one) for the 2016 recruiting class.
