Florida baseball earns berth in College World Series: Florida shut out FSU again, 7-0, in game three to win the Gainesville Super Regional. Now the Gators are making their fifth trip to Omaha in nine seasons under Kevin O'Sullivan, and their tenth trip to the CWS in school history. Florida will next face Coastal Carolina on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. (eastern time). Logan Shore named finalist for USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award: Shore is one of four finalists for the award, which is presented to the most outstanding collegiate baseball player. Gators should be favorite to win College World Series: Because of their dominant pitching. A No. 1 seed has not won it all since Miami did it in 1999.
