As expected, Florida and Tennessee will play at 3:30 p.m. on CBS on September 24. The SEC announced game times for SEC games in college football’s Week 4 on Monday.

Florida and Tennessee have played at 3:30 p.m. on CBS in many of the years since the Gators and Vols became annual foes with the introduction of the SEC’s divisions in 1990, but have not met at that time in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville since 2010.

In 2012, Florida came back to defeat the Vols in a night game at Neyland broadcast by ESPN, and in a noon game on the SEC Network in 2014, the Gators infamously turned to Treon Harris after a spate of ineffective play by Jeff Driskel and escaped a cauldron of 100,000-plus fans who checkerboarded the stands in orange and white — some of whom showered the Gators with “FUCK YOU, FLORIDA!” chants as the game was ending, likely prompting Will Muschamp’s “It’s great to see all these people out here getting disappointed” crack in a postgame interview — with a 10-6 win.

That 2010 game on Rocky Top also ended like the last 11 Florida games against Tennessee have: With a Gators victory. Florida scored 24 points in the second half and held Tennessee to just 29 rushing yards in that 31-17 triumph.
