Losing Luke Del Rio may have somewhat overshadowed the win and the great work done by Florida’s defense on Saturday night against North Texas. There were good moments for the sharply-dressed Gators though, as evidenced by these highlights.
As would be expected, the highlights from Florida’s shutout victory feature many clips of the Gators’ dominating defense. Florida held the Mean Green to a paltry 53 total yards, setting a new school record.

Florida’s running backs also had a nice day. (And Mick Hubert is saying “Thompson made” now, apparently?) The group rushed for 255 yards and each of the Gators’ four primary running backs (Jordan Cronkrite, Lamical Perine, Jordan Scarlett, and Mark Thompson) all averaged over five yards per carry and each scored a touchdown.

While there weren’t many highlights for Del Rio and the passing game, that might not be a terrible thing, if you think about it: It’s a snapshot of what Florida will probably be until or unless Del Rio returns — and yet the Gators won going away on Saturday.
