Florida releases fantastic "One Nation" hype video

Steve Spurrier, Jim McElwain, Titus O'Neil, and a slew of others welcome you to the 2016 season.

Florida hasn't played up its claim to "The Gator Nation" in a while, so Friday's new hype video — which I'm calling "One Nation" because nothing else makes sense — is a welcome return to a bit of arrogance about the boundaries of the Florida fan base.

The video opens with WWE wrestler Titus O'Neil — former Florida defensive end Thaddeus Bullard — working out in the dark, then runs through a smattering of Gators fans, before eventually looping around to appearances by Steve Spurrier and Jim McElwain.

McElwain's one notable line, "You're either a Gator or you're not," is a bastardization of Lawrence Wright's more famous "If you ain't a Gator, you must be Gator Bait." (Given how problematic "gator bait" is historically, I don't mind the change.)

But the best line, as seems more than fitting, belongs to Spurrier.

Champions shower in Gatorade for a reason.Spurrier probably didn't come up with that. It's perfect, regardless.
