Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells’ felony charges reduced to misdemeanors: State Attorney Bill Cervone announced yesterday that the pair’s criminal mischief charges, stemming from a July on-campus BB incident, were reduced to first-degree misdemeanors and that the property damage charges were dropped. He noted that each player would be responsible for half of the cost of the damage. The total damage cost was stated to be around $1,600. Earlier this week Jim McElwain had announced that both players will be available to play against Kentucky on Saturday. Young linebackers to see expanded role: Senior linebacker Daniel McMillian played through a high-ankle sprain against UMass and no timetable was given for his return. Jim McElwain noted that redshirt freshman Kylan Johnson and true freshmen Jeremiah Moon, David Reese, and Vosean Joseph could see more playing time against Kentucky. An odd tidbit in the SEC Country article - apparently Jim McElwain calls Jeremiah Moon “Jackie Moon” as a reference to Will Ferrell’s character in the movie Semi-Pro. Teez Tabor’s return should help shore up secondary: Quincy Wilson is pleased that Tabor is back because it means that he might gets some balls thrown his way. (Ryan Young, SEC Country; Patrick Pinak, Independent Florida Alligator)

Jim McElwain praises Khairi Clark: McElwain stated that Clark was “our player of the game on defense on the inside” for holding point and maintaining gap control. (Scott Carter, Florida Gators)

Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells could help ease the loss of Dre Massey: Jim McElwain says that the Gators will need to reconfigure some things at the wideout position. He also noted that C.J. Worton could potentially be back soon. (Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)

Kentucky hoping to get long-awaited victory over Florida: The Wildcats have played the Gators close the past two seasons. (Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel)
