Florida adds Northern Colorado to 2017 schedule, Eastern Washington to 2020 schedule: Jim McElwain’s alma mater, Eastern Washington, will come play at The Swamp in 2020. UF completes its non-conference schedule next year with the addition of Northern Colorado. 2017’s other non-conference opponents are Michigan, Florida State, and UAB. (Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel; Daniel Apple, Florida Gators; USA Today)
C.J. Worton and Daniel McMillian expected to play against Kentucky: McMillian suffered a high ankle sprain against UMass but practiced Wednesday. Worton, who also had a high ankle sprain and did not play in the opener, also returned to practice yesterday. (Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country; Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)
Steve Spurrier on Florida and South Carolina’s wins: Spurrier called UF’s victory “decent” and hoped that the Gators would be able to “get some offense and score some points”. (Connor Riley, SEC Country)
Florida’s offense is a work in progress: Against UMass, the Gators had a lower yards per carry average than they did against Michigan in their bowl game, and a lower yards per pass average than in their loss to Alabama in last season’s SEC Championship. (Matt Baker, Tampa Bay Times)
Florida has scored fewer than 30 pts in 10 straight games, longest such drought for the Gators since 88-89 seasons. Spurrier arrived in 90.

(The last time that the Gators scored more than 30 points in a game was against Ole Miss last season.)
Antonio Callaway has “huge upside”: The sophomore receiver continues to be Florida’s most reliable receiving option. (Scott Carter, Florida Gators; Edgar Thompson, Orlando Sentinel; Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country)
Teez Tabor excited to return: After being suspended for last week’s opener, Tabor’s mother says he is anxious to be able to help his team. (Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)
More praise for Khairi Clark: Rumph was pleased with the nose tackle’s performance against UMass. (Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)
Chris Rumph on Jabari Zuniga: The redshirt freshman had two sacks in his Florida debut. (Ryan Young, SEC Country)
