College GameDay returning to Gainesville for Florida vs. Kentucky men’s basketball

The show will be live from the O’Dome on February 4.

College GameDay, ESPN’s college basketball show, will broadcast from the O’Connell Center next Saturday, February 4, ahead of the Gators hosting Kentucky at 8:15 p.m. College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams. The show will run from 11:00 a.m. to noon, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m.

This will be the fifth time that the show has aired from Gainesville. Only Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky have hosted it more times than Florida. The Gators have played the Wildcats each time that they have hosted the show. Florida last hosted College GameDay on February 7, 2015, ahead of a 68-61 loss.

Florida is 5-2 all-time as the featured College GameDay game, including 5-1 against Kentucky and 3-1 against the Wildcats in Gainesville. This will be the seventh time that the Florida-Kentucky match-up has been featured on College GameDay. Those seven appearances are second only to the eight appearances of the Duke-North Carolina rivalry.

The Wildcats were featured on this week’s edition of GameDay also. Kentucky hosts Kansas this evening as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Florida is on the road against Oklahoma this afternoon.
