The Alligator Army Weekly Open Thread, Vol. LVIV

Can we fix it? Yes, we can — but how?

I have heard plenty about what’s wrong with the Florida Gators over the last few days.

The offense is bad. The defense gives up big plays on occasion. The offensive coordinator is bad. The quarterback is bad. The uniforms were atrocious. The special teams were fatally poor.

The lists are long. You all have them. So do I, even if it sometimes seems like me not writing mine out and tweeting it every hour on the hour makes me an outlier.

But what I want to know is what you would change — and how, and why, and for how much, and so forth.

So I give you this challenge for our Weekly Open Thread:

  • Propose no more than three specific changes for Florida — whether or not your choices include firing/hiring a coach, altering a specific game plan idea, changing the uniforms, or something else, you only get three.
  • Explain, in detail, why you are making this change, when you are making it, and how you are putting it into effect. Show your work when it comes to the financial and human costs.
  • Be prepared to defend your arguments.

I’ve got to think about this for a little while, myself, but I’ll have three changes of my own in the comments later today.
