Florida releases Jim McElwain’s buyout, Dan Mullen’s contract information: The Gators’ former head coach’s negotiated buyout is $7.5 million, rather than the $12.9 million in his contract. McElwain will receive payments through 2021, with both sides agreeing not to disparage each other. Florida’s new head coach is the now the second highest paid coach in the SEC, was allotted $5 million to hire assistants, and has several performance bonuses in his contract.
