Four-star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase decommits from Florida: The highly ranked pass catcher had committed in a recruiting coup after Friday Night Lights in July. Decommitments are kind of to be expected at this point, frankly. The Gators are without a head coach, and without a secure staff moving forward - and even once those things are in place, there may be some damage already done and some significant ground to make up. Recruiting is about relationships. I’m not trying to be completely doom and gloom about the incoming class, just noting that I won’t be surprised if some of the members of the presently promising group begin breaking off in light of the uncertainties.
