Four-star tight end recruit Kyle Pitts signed with the Florida Gators today. Pitts committed to the Gators back in July, choosing the Gators over Georgia and Virginia Tech, while holding numerous other offers.

Pitts memorably announced his commitment in a video which featured him declaring his intention to play for the Gators while on a roller coaster.

Florida head coach Dan Mullen announced Pitts’ signing on Twitter this morning:

The 6’5” 235 pound tight end hails from Warminster, Pennsylvania, and is rated as the No. 6 tight end nationally in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. You can view full highlights of Pitts here, or watch the clips selected by Florida below.

In an interview, Pitts had mentioned that he loved Mullen’s offense and was happy with Mullen’s use of tight ends. Florida’s head coach had visited Pitts earlier this month.

Pitts is the sixth signee of the Gators’ early signing period, and one of Florida’s 13 current commitments in the 2018 recruiting class, which is presently ranked No. 30 by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
