Loyola Chicago extends Gators’ misery: Instead of rebounding after the loss to Florida State, Florida’s fortunes turned further south as the Gators were upset by Loyola Chicago at home. It was the first time that the Ramblers had defeated a top-five team since 1984. The No. 5 Gators finished 2 of 19 from three in their third straight loss and didn’t have any players score in double figures. Dan Mullen and Willie Taggart are in unique place in UF-FSU rivalry: Not many would have guessed that 2018’s meeting would be between two coaches in their first years at the programs. (David Wunderlich, Gator Country)

Matt Corral’s father on his son’s recruitment: The father of Florida’s QB commit discusses Mullen’s hiring. Corral has recently visited Alabama, and plans to visit Ole Miss and possibly LSU. (Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country)

UF women’s basketball falls to Ohio State: The women’s team also picked up a loss in the O’Dome last night, dropping a 103-77 decision to the No. 12 Buckeyes. (Kathy Cafazzo, Florida Gators)

Scott Stricklin regrets extending Jim McElwain: Hindsight and all that. (Nick Kreuger, SEC Country)

UF volleyball hosts UCLA in NCAA Regional: The Gators will be seeking their first semifinal appearance since 2003 with a win over the visiting Bruins tomorrow. (Zach Dirlam, Florida Gators)

Don’t rule out Justin Fields to Florida: I wouldn’t get too excited about it happening either though. (Zach Abolverdi, SEC Country)
