Clearwater running back Adarius Lemons committed to Florida on National Signing Day 2017. Jim McElwain, mid-Signing Day press conference, announced that Lemons had signed with the Gators.
Lemons was committed to UNC before flipping to Florida after Friday Night Lights. The three-star running back was once considered one of the best at his position in Florida but had some difficulties during his senior year which prevented him from playing a full season. He decommitted once, took it back, and then later decommitted again as a result.
But Lemons had been consistent in his desire to ultimately become a Gator and it was thought that Florida would take him in their 2017 class if they were able to.
The 6’0 Lemons is 195 pounds and rated as the No. 27 running back nationally by 247Sports.
You can view his junior year highlights below. They’re pretty dang exciting.
Lemons is the second running back in Florida’s 2017 class, joining Malik Davis.
Lemons’ commitment gives the Gators 24 commits in their 2017 recruiting class and boosts Florida’s current class ranking, as of this posting, to No. 10.
