It sure looked like Florida’s season was over.
After falling apart down the stretch to cough up a 12-point lead with under five minutes to go in the game, Wisconsin entered overtime with all of the momentum. And after Nigel Hayes hit two free throws to give the Badgers the lead with four seconds left, it looked like Florida had finally lost the game.
But Chris Chiozza had other ideas.
As time ticked down, Chiozza drove nearly the length of the floor, and as it expired, he nailed a running, off-balance, buzzer-beating three to give Florida a miracle 84-83 win over Wisconsin to propel them to the Elite Eight.
It was one of the greatest buzzer-beaters in March Madness history:

Florida will face South Carolina for a bid in the Final Four, a sentence that seemed crazy less than an hour ago, when Florida’s defeat seemed all but certain.
This time of year is wild. What an amazing win for the Florida Gators.
