Florida baseball takes series over Vanderbilt: The Gators began their series with the Commodores on Thursday with a 10-6 comeback win. On Friday night, Vandy was victorious, picking up a 2-0 victory over the Gators in a pitcher’s duel. Florida closed out the series on Saturday with a 20-8 (TWENTY!) win over the ‘Dores. Just a day after being shut out, the Gators exploded for 20 runs on 20 hits - both season high totals. Those 20 runs were the most scored by Florida in an SEC game since they scored 24 against Auburn in 2009. (Daniel Apple, Florida Gators; Gainesville Sun)

Gator softball clinches series over Kentucky: The No. 3 Gators went 2-1 against the No. 21 Wildcats this weekend in Lexington. Florida started the series off with a 4-0 Friday victory. On Saturday, the Gators suffered their third loss of the season, dropping a 5-1 contest to Kentucky. But Florida rebounded with a 2-0 win on Sunday to clinch the series, in which Kelly Barnhill pitched her second career no-hitter and struck out 15 Wildcats. (Herb Brooks, Florida Gators)

T.J. McCoy involved in scooter accident: The Florida center was reportedly hit by a suspected drunk driver early Friday morning while riding his scooter with his girlfriend. McCoy was hospitalized following the accident. He later posted an update on his condition to Twitter, noting that he has no broken bones but was sore and had road rash. But Florida suffered a disappointing 4-2 loss to the Commodores, which dashed their regular-season SEC title hopes. The Gators earned the No. 3 seed for the upcoming SEC Tournament.
