UF lacrosse three-peats as Big East Tournament Champions: The Gators, already winners of their third Big East regular season title, defeated Denver on Saturday, 18-12, in the Big East Tournament Championship Game to claim their third consecutive tournament championship in that league. The Gators scored 39 goals over the span of their two tournament games, breaking their own 2015 record for most goals scored in a Big East Tournament. Lacrosse earns No. 3 seed in NCAA Tournament: The Gators have a first round bye and will host NCAA first and second rounds, along with quarterfinal action, at home. On Sunday, Florida will face the winner of the Friday contest between USC and Jacksonville. (Dustin Ciraco, Florida Gators; Gainesville Sun)

Florida baseball sweeps series with Ole Miss: The Gators started the weekend off with a 11-2 win over the Rebels on Friday night. Ryan Larson’s grand slam was the highlight of a seven-run fourth inning for Florida. (Scott Carter, Florida Gators) On Saturday, the Gators rallied from a 4-0 deficit, scoring three runs in the fifth, before tying in the seventh, and eventually taking a 7-4 win to clinch the series. (Zach Dirlam, Florida Gators) Florida finished the sweep on Sunday, in their ninth consecutive win, with a 6-4 victory. (Scott Carter, Florida Gators; Kevin Brockway, Gainesville Sun; Ryan Young, SEC Country) Coupled with Kentucky’s loss to Georgia, the Gators now stand alone in first place in the SEC East.

Gator softball has winning weekend: Florida picked up four victories over the weekend while wrapping up regular season play. The Gators started their weekend with a 14-0 shut out of North Texas in six innings. Florida followed up by again shutting out the Mean Green, 8-0, on Saturday for Senior Day. On Sunday, the Gators first dispatched North Texas for the sweep, 8-1, before handling Florida A&M, 7-0, to close out the 2017 regular season. (Herb Brooks, Florida Gators)
