How you livin’? How you feelin’?

NCAA Football: SEC Media Days Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

We have now emerged from the tedium that is trying to wring meaning out of SEC Media Days, and are entering the last stretch of the summer. The Florida Gators should begin fall practice within the next two weeks — no date has been formally announced, but early August is the bet — and are readying for Friday Night Lights, which should be a turning point for a 2018 recruiting class that picked up a literally massive addition on Tuesday, and could — should — swell even more this week and weekend.

The only major offseason indiscretion (so far) this year seems to be more or less done and dusted, and barring me jinxing something else awful into existence, Florida appears to have made it through the long months between full-pad practices with coaches barking and whistles bleating with relatively little incident. We’re talking trash about this season, not last season, now.

So this seems as good a time as any to ask: How are you feeling about this team, and about how we cover them? Now that almost all of the pointless bloviation of the offseason is over, what do you want our pointless bloviation of the preseason to look like? When do you want us to do win shares? Would you like in-depth positional previews? Are you still pining for coverage wrapping up the 2016-17 academic year in Gators sports?

I have some ideas and some notions and some half-written posts in my head. But, as always, I like listening to your feedback, too.

So: How goes it? How would you like it to go?
