As of sunrise on Saturday, the Florida Gators had raked in 10 commits in 10 days.
As of sunset, it will be 11 commits in 11 days — and there program now has the potential to start David Reese at two different linebacker spots.
That’s because 2018 linebacker David Reese announced his commitment to the Gators on Saturday...

...putting him in line to join 2016 recruit and Florida sophomore David Reese not just on the Gators’ roster, but in the same position group.
The younger Reese — they are of no relation, so far as I know — hails from Fort Pierce, and now attends Vero Beach High after transferring from Fort Pierce Central. He also plays outside linebacker to the elder Reese’s middle linebacker. He’s a three-star prospect in the 2018 class, and just inside the nation’s top 500 prospects for the cycle at No. 444 in the 247Sports Composite.
Instinctive and quick on his highlights, Reese attended The Opening last month, and played in the 7-on-7 competition for Team Vapor Speed. Reese is Florida’s 11th commitment since July 18, and the 15th commitment in a class that began the month without double-digit commitments.
Florida now sits at No. 11 nationally in the 247Composite team rankings for the 2018 recruiting cycle.
