Florida vs. Michigan: 25 predictions, including the end of an era

Florida’s gone 1-0 in every year of the last three decades. Does that end today?

Been a while since I’ve done one of these predictions posts prior to a Florida Gators game, huh? I’m gonna keep this one brief.

Here are my predictions for Florida-Michigan.

  1. Florida will score in the first quarter.
  2. Both teams will score in double digits.
  3. A team will lead by double digits at some point in the game.
  4. Feleipe Franks will throw for at least 200 yards.
  5. Franks will complete a pass of more than 30 yards.
  6. Franks will throw at least one touchdown pass.
  7. Florida quarterbacks not named Feleipe Franks will throw multiple passes.
  8. Kadarius Toney will have at least two offensive touches.
  9. Lamical Perine will lead Florida in carries.
  10. Perine will not lead Florida in yards per carry.
  11. No Florida wide receiver will have more than 100 receiving yards.
  12. At least one Florida player will make at least five catches.
  13. Florida will score at least three touchdowns.
  14. Florida will record at least one shutout quarter.
  15. Jabari Zuniga and Antonneous Clayton will each record at least half a sack.
  16. Florida will record at least two sacks.
  17. Vosean Joseph will lead Florida in tackles.
  18. Taven Bryan will lead Florida in tackles for loss.
  19. Marco Wilson will make a big play.
  20. Florida will force at least one turnover.
  21. Florida will allow between 250 and 400 yards.
  22. Florida will allow more than 20 points.
  23. Florida’s defense will allow between four and six yards per play.
  24. Florida will not win the turnover battle.
  25. Florida will lose, 28-27, and fail to win its 28th straight season opener.
