UF Men’s swimming wins sixth straight SEC championship: Caeleb Dressel also earned his third consecutive SEC Male Swimmer of the Meet award. Dressel’s three individual SEC titles at the meet gives him ten such honors for his career - the most of any male swimmer in UF history. Florida’s men’s swim team now has the second most SEC titles of any program in history (39), behind only Kentucky men’s basketball (50). (Katie Callahan, Florida Gators)

Florida baseball sweeps opening weekend: The No. 1 Gators opened their season with a home sweep of Siena. Florida got things started with a 7-1 victory in Brady Singer’s first Friday start. The offense kept rolling on Saturday, resulting in a 10-2 win which saw the Gators rally after falling behind 2-0 in the first inning. Gator softball shuts out Louisiana on Saturday; picks up first loss on Sunday: No 2. Florida shut out the No. 16 Ragin’ Cajuns in a double-header on the road Saturday, with final scores of 4-0 and 9-0. It was the first time in a decade that Louisiana was shut out in back-to-back games. In extra innings on Sunday, the Cajuns got their revenge, edging the Gator 4-3 in the series finale.
