The Florida Gators announced the signing of three-star offensive lineman Griffin McDowell this morning via Florida’s official Twitter account.
McDowell flipped to Florida from Mississippi State in late January, following Dan Mullen to the Gators. He had originally pledged to the Bulldogs in June and was offered by Florida just prior to visiting. The three-star, 6’4”, 280-pound Peach State prospect made the decision to join the Gators following that official visit to UF.
You can watch selected highlights of McDowell via the tweet sent out by Florida below.
McDowell is the Gators’ third signee of the day, following the signings of Andrew Chatfield and Justin Watkins. McDowell was the 16th member of Florida’s 2018 class at the time of his commitment; the class is now 17 players strong.
