The Florida Gators will play on the first full day of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
And probably the second, too.
Florida’s first round game against either St. Bonaventure or UCLA will be one of the last games in the 2018 NCAA Tournament bracket to tip on Thursday, as the No. 6 seed Gators are set to play the No. 11 seed Bonnies or Bruins at approximately 9:57 p.m. Eastern in Dallas, at the end of that subregional’s full day of play.
The game will air on truTV.
No. 3 Texas Tech will play No. 14 Stephen F. Austin in the first of two evening games in Dallas. The day’s early games in Dallas feature No. 6 Miami taking on No. 11 Loyola of Chicago and No. 3 Tennessee facing No. 14 Wright State.
Florida is no stranger to playing late games in the NCAA Tournament — famously, Florida’s dramatic Sweet Sixteen win over Wisconsin a year ago and its halting of Florida Gulf Coast’s Cinderella run in 2013 both came in late game — or this season. The Gators played deep into the evening or early into the morning hours during the PK80 Invitational early this season, and played a number of 9 p.m. tips in SEC play.
truTV is a television channel that you probably have but do not watch and that has a Twitter account run by people who will absolutely try to dunk on you if you mention that it is obscure on Twitter.
