Florida baseball wins series with South Carolina: The Gators picked up a 2-1 series win this weekend in Columbia. On Friday, Florida won their SEC opener, 7-3, with Brady Singer improving to 5-0 on the season. The Gamecocks evened things with the Gators on Saturday, with South Carolina jumping out to an early lead and holding off Florida for a 15-7 victory. Gator softball drops series to Georgia: Florida struggled this weekend, dropping their first two games before picking up a win on Sunday in their second SEC series of the season. The No. 10 Bulldogs notched a 5-4 walk-off win over the No. 2 Gators on Friday. Florida’s streak of 13 consecutive SEC series wins then ended on Saturday as Georgia rolled up a lopsided 11-1 victory. On Sunday, the Gators rebounded with Aleshia Ocasio throwing her fourth complete game of the season in Florida’s 5-1 win. (Herb Brooks, Florida Gators)
