Florida baseball edges Florida State in Jacksonville: The bats may have gone quiet Tuesday night, but that didn’t stop the Gators from defeating the Seminoles for the seventh consecutive time. No 2 Florida shut out No. 5 Florida State in a pitcher’s duel, picking up a 1-0 win in their second meeting of the season. The Gators have now won 12 of their last 13 contests with the ‘Noles. This was also Florida’s third consecutive win over a top-five team this season, as the Gators rolled up two wins over No. 4 Arkansas this past weekend. UF hosting Pro Day: Fourteen players from the 2017 roster are scheduled to take part in Wednesday’s Pro Day.
