Gator softball wins SEC Tournament championship: Florida defeated Alabama to open tournament play, then took care of Tennessee to advance to Saturday night’s finals with South Carolina. With a 3-1 victory, the Gators captured their fourth SEC tournament title. It’s the first time since 2013 that the team has won the tournament, and the fourth time ever that Florida has won both the SEC regular season and tournament titles. (Herb Brooks, Florida Gators)

UF track and field sweeps SEC Outdoor Championship team titles: Both Florida’s men and women earned the SEC Outdoor Championships team titles (together) for the first time in program history. This is the 11th time a program has swept the titles at the SEC Outdoor Championships, and just the fourth time that it has happened since 1991. Florida kicked things off on Friday with a 7-6 walk-off win (Scott Carter, Florida Gators), followed by a 9-3 series clinching victory on Saturday which also gave the Gators the regular season SEC title.
