Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find, and maybe some other stuff.
Florida’s Jabari Zuniga honored by SEC: Getting 2.5 sacks is a good way to get named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week. (Corinne Simpson, Florida Gators)
Dan Mullen meets with media: The most significant news is in the next bit. but I found Mullen’s discussion of quarterback play here illuminating, as I have often. It’s also worth noting that he cites Alex Smith and Dak Prescott — not the Florida QB who won a Heisman under his tutelage — as among the rare QBs who have been able to go through full progressions and process information quickly, if not surprising.
Malik Davis out with broken foot: Out for “an extended period of time,” I’d imagine Davis will now be in line for a redshirt. Tough break, but as discussed yesterday, Florida had (has) the depth at RB to absorb the effects of an injury. (Scott Carter, Florida Gators)
Florida’s depth chart for Tennessee largely unchanged: At one point, it made sense to write individual posts about these. Not so much now! (Will Pantages, Florida Gators)
Mullen’s contract finalized: This has a rundown of bonuses and such. (Robbie Andreu, The Gainesville Sun)
Examining Gators’ offense against Colorado State: The line? It’s not really better, per our old friend. (David Wunderlich, Gator Country)
